Synopsis of the movie:
Wei Jie and Jian Ren are best of friends in school, and they both face their share of family problems; Wei Jie has a gambling addict father and his mother who does not think highly of him always condemns him. Jian Ren comes from a well-to-do single parent family but has an estranged relationship with his mother. He becomes rebellious to spite his mother and even becomes a runner for the loansharks. They both share the talent and interest on gadgets inventions but their efforts are never recognized. CK, as their lecturer, tries to build a rapport with the boys but ends up being snubbed. His patience pays off and the boys end up seeking help from him for their family problems. CK even help the boys to create an invention for a competition. However, their invention is misused by the loansharks and in an attempt to stop that, CK, Wei Jie and Jian Ren’s lives are at risk.

The M1 Singapore Fringe Festival is back for the 8th year and this time round, the theme is Art and Faith!
This year, the Fringe will feature 17 international and local works from 11 countries, including four Fringe Highlights from Singapore, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Burma and Iraq. There will be eight works making their WORLD premieres and four their ASIAN premieres at the Fringe!

Although NAPBAS 2011 is over, we are pleased to say that the spirit of this spectacular event is still present, and will be around till the next NAPBAS n 2013! The whole aim of organizing this awards ceremony is to recognize the efforts of people in the blogosphere. Judging from the crowd present that night, it is definitely undeniable that the blog community is not only expanding, but expanding at an astonishing speed! What’s more comforting are the smiles on people’s faces, the strong friendships that are forged over the years. The sense of familiarity in the entire community is heartwarming! Everyone sees each other not as a competitor, but as a friend to share happiness and woes. Just over a week ago, we announced the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards 2011 and thanks to the amazing support from all of you, we received over 5,000 nominations in just a few short days!
The blogospheres all around the region have been buzzing with excitement. On our own end, the Nuffnang team has been really busy preparing one of the biggest events we’ve ever had. In all our excitement, we’ve decided to add some new things to the Awards:
New Award Categories
Due to popular demand, Nuffnang.com is bringing back the Region’s Best Blog and Most Influential Blog categories, to honour the best and most influential of blogs in the Asia-Pacific region. The Region’s Best Blog category will not be open for nominations, but instead carefully selected by the panel of judges from among the finalists for all other categories.
For the first time, Nuffnang.com will also be introducing the brand new category of Best Micro-blog, sponsored by our partner for the Blog Awards, ChurpChurp.com. As blogging has evolved over time with micro-blogging platforms becoming hugely popular in their own right, this award aims to honour the best of the best among those active on micro-blogging platforms.
