Sheylara and her free tickets!!!

I was pleasantly surprised to have last Friday afternoon, a Nuffnanger come knock on our Nuffnang Singapore Office’s door.

For those who are wondering, we are currently located in a humble shophouse, very close by to Farrer Park MRT, and just around the corner from Muthu’s curry on race course road (YUMM!).

Now this is a prime example, of the crazy things singaporeans do for free tickets!

One of my favourite Nuffnangers, Sheylara had decided that the best way to ensure she was invited to the event, was to visit me personally, and charm me into giving her tickets. She did a darn good job, and I was almost ended up giving her the whole stack (She is very very persuasive, and I relish the thought of having a sheylara themed event).

Not to worry though! Commonsense prevailed and I didn’t! So all you Nuffnangers out there, get typing and win your free tickets! Earrrnnn your righttt!!!!!!

The things I do for free tickets! Creativity at its best!

Nuffnang bloggers are a diverse group of people.

We’ve got all types. Creative types rank high in the list. I mean to be a blogger you’ve got to have a creative eye of some sort right?

The entries for Rush Hour tickets has been going well so far, but for those who have not yet put theirs up and are lost for words, or pictures. Inspiration is not far off.

I present to you Jayden Tan! Here is his video on free tickets.

Text Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIo-nm9v6lU

Jayden, you are the first to get 2 tickets (2 for such a good entry!) to the Rush Hour event on the 9th of August 2007. For the rest of you, not to worry, the emails will be sent out once we have compiled all links together! Stay tuned!

Dear Nuffnangers,

It gives me and my team great pleasure to confirm Nuffnang Singapore’s first community event.

We are treating 250 bloggers, VIPs, advertisers, guests, and press to an exclusive screening of Rush Hour 3 at GV Vivocity on National Day, 9th August 2007. The movie screens at 1330, but registration and collection of tickets begins at 1230. There will also be finger food and a preview of NN2.0 and our new logo at this registration event.

The most patriotic blogger can also expect to win an attractive prize for showing up tattooed with merlions all over or dressed in just the Singapore flag … J Did I mention we are giving out Nuffnang national day goody bags too!!!?

As there are 1800 bloggers in the community and only 200 tickets to give away, there needs to be some selection process. As a result, to qualify for the free tickets, interested bloggers should write an entry about “The things I do for free tickets” and post it up. They should then email their URL to admin@nuffnang.com.sg and we will inform successful applicants. Note only successful applicants will be notified, and preference will be given to exclusive Nuffnangers.

You can write about anything or everything under the sun, and there is no specific need to mention or link Nuffnang.

A large part of the Nuffnang team from Malaysia will also be down for this event, so it will be a great opportunity for you to meet them. Not to mention the biggest names in the blogosphere!

I’m getting all excited just talking about this event, so before I get carried away, I’d better end here! What are you waiting for!!? See you on National Day!

p.s. Event details can also be found on our site on our community page.

Dear Nuffnangers,

The Singaporean community has grown by leaps and bounds. We are now 2 and half months old and have achieved several milestones.

These are some of them:

1. Our ranks have grown significantly. Nuffnangers now number 1800 in Singapore.

2. We have served paid advertisements onto hundreds of local blogs. Advertisers include big names such as Nike Singapore to promising local start-ups, such as Hitchoo.com and Pandora’s Box. The first few cheques have already been sent out.

Some of you have also received an email regarding an upcoming campaign by a bank of global repute. This campaign is set to launch on the 29th of July across over 300 blogs, and will be running for a month.

These blogs were chosen by the advertiser according to relevancy.

There are also a number of other interesting deals in the month of August. All this is a result of your continued support and the Nuffnang team’s efforts. We will continue to work hard securing deals and enriching Nuffnangers.

3. Earlier in the month, we also announced that our cash out amount was to be reduced to $50.

4. In line with our vision of forging a community amongst our members, we are also pleased to announce Nuffnang Singapore’s first blogger event. On the 9th of August 2007, National Day we will be hosting 250 bloggers, press and advertisers for an exclusive screening of Rush Hour 3 at GV VivoCity. It will be a fun filled event with goody bags, contests and food.

Everybody who attends the event will also be given a sneak preview of Nuffnang 2.0. An overhauled and improved platform with a streamlined identity that will also see us revealing the design of our new logo.

Further details of this event will be provided shortly.

5. I will also like to take this opportunity to give credit to the Nuffnang technical team, who have worked behind the scenes to improve the technical capabilities of our site. To name some, an integrated helpdesk which u can find at http://nuffnang.com.sg/helpdesk/index.php, improved and optimized loading of ads, flash and video ads capabilities, and the enhancement of our backend which unfortunately, the public does not get to see but is integral to our operations.

Timothy, Arysan, Firdauz, Lee Meng, Victor and Lance, thank you for your hard work so far. Let us move forward as a team to drive more value for our bloggers and advertisers.

I thank all Nuffnangers for their continued patience and support. As usual, I maintain my open door policy to any Nuffnanger who cares to get in touch. Do allow me some time to reply as the schedule is starting to get packed up.

Best Regards,

Ming

Nuffnang SG Helpdesk UP!

Nuffnang gets an increasing amount of e-mails each day from bloggers and in spite of having a team member answer your e-mails each day on a full-time basis, it has become increasingly hard for us to keep track of each e-mail.

For that reason, we have recently launched an e-mail support system through our Contact Us page where bloggers will be able to send us help e-mail and on our side, we will be able to track and respond to each ticket efficiently.

This is one of the many improvements that you will see on Nuffnang within the next few weeks.

If you ever need any help from any of us, please feel free to use our Nuffnang Help Desk and we will be responding to your issues quicker and more effectively than ever.
