Huiwen and I went down to Vivocity on June 4 to check out the launch of the Singapore Movie Fiesta, where on the last day, there will be the unveiling of our very own Singapore’s Superhero (PROUDLY DESIGNED BY ONE OF OUR NUFFNANGGER!) and was delighted to see many “Superheroes and Villians”, mutants and non-mutants strolling around without being caught by the fashion police!
Storm, Dr Doom, Cloud and Cyclops are the very few we saw roaming the concourse of Vivocity!
Even Speed Racer was here & both Huiwen and I had fun snatching his helmet away from him.
& if you are wondering if you can join in the fun, well… YOU CAN!
There will be a Superhero Factory booth at Level 1 where you can be transformed into your ideal superhero!
Professional make up artists from MAKE UP FOR EVER will be there to make sure you are beautified and/or uglified depending on your chosen character.
You can also turn into a 80’s Saturday Night Live band with your friends! (The organisers are a fun crowd to be with)
All proceeds will be going into the Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, so while you are having fun, you are donating to charity!

Do remember that there will be a “Superhero March” held on Sunday, 8th June 2008 at 9am! Registration costs $30 but you will walk away with a goody bag worth $200!!

Registration will be held at Vivocity, Level 1 from June 4 – June 8, the earlier the better! Remember, early superheros catches the villians!

There will be LIVE professional movie make-up demostration that will be conducted from 4th – 6th June 08, by experts Frances Richardson and Luke Hawker from internationally renowned special effects company WETA Workshop. (They did LOTR and King Kong movies! GASP)
