How much do I earn?

  • What you earn depends on the number of Average Unique visitors you received in the week that the ad campaign is built.
  • You will then be arranged into specific “Blogger bands” that directly correspond to your number of Average Unique visitors.
  • For each campaign, you will be paid a fixed amount for every ad unit. The amount depends on what your Blogger band is. The higher your Blogger band (i.e. more unique visitors), the higher your earnings.
  • All information on your blogger band and your earnings can be viewed within your CMS Earnings Page. All information will be updated within 3 working days after the ad campaign is completed.

I have joined Nuffnang for quite some time but have no earnings

  • a) Cost Per Unique Visitor Ads
Earnings for Cost Per Unique Visitor Ads are calculated based on the number of unique visitors to a blog when an ad campaign is being run. Basically, you have to achieve a minimum amount of 20 unique visitors to your blog and maintain that amount in order to be in the running to receive Cost Per Unique Visitor Ads. Then, you can sit back and relax while our advertisers select the blogs on which to run their ad campaigns on. Should you be selected, you will be notified by email based on the type and the duration of the ad campaign.
  • b) CPC Ads
Any blogger registered with Nuffnang is automatically eligible run have CPC Ads. You will be paid each time the ad is clicked on and your earnings will appear at the end of the week.
In spite of running CPC ads, Cost Per Unique Visitor ads will always be given priority since in the past we have found that that Cost Per Unique Visitor ads seem to pay more since they don’t depend on the number of times your user clicks on your ads.
The amount of earnings along with its rates will remain confidential until it is released in your earnings.
  • c). Advertorials
Advertorials is when a particular blogger is paid to write about an advertiser’s product in his/her blog. The blogger will be paid per post because of its better reach.

I have not been able to paste the Nuffnang codes into my Wordpress/Xanga/Multiply/Livejournal blog.

  • Free versions of Wordpress.com do not allow the use of Javascripts nor the editing of their template’s HTML. However, hosting your blog by using Wordpress.org’s files on your own domain will allow you to do so if you are able to set the file permission settings through your FTP.
  • At the moment, Xanga Themes does not support the use of javascript as it prevents the “< script >” tag to be inserted when placing a HTML code into their widgets. At the moment only the old “Look & Feel” page allows the user to insert javascript. You may find the Xanga support forum thread about this here
    http://help.xanga.com/themes/Default.aspx?g=posts&m=6375
  • Multiply and Livejournal do not allow 3rd party advertisements nor the editing of their blog HTML. So far, from our knowledge, the blogs that allow you to do this are blogger platforms such as www.blogger.com, the old ‘look and feel’ version of Xanga, full paid versions of Wordpress, Tabulas.com and Diaryland.com.

I am running an ad campaign on my blog, but have no earnings.

  • Earnings will only be updated into your earnings page after the advertisement campaign has ended. After you have achieved an amount of SGD50 in your earnings, you will be allowed to request for payment. From there, we will require a 30 day period to process your payment. We normally send out the cheques at the end of each month, it should then take about a week for our cheque to reach your doorstep.

I just received an email that I have been selected for an ad campaign; what do I need to do?

  • The email that we sent to you is just a notification to inform you that you have been selected for an advertisement campaign. All you need to do is to ensure that our Nuffnang codes in placed in prominent locations on your blog and wait for the campaign to run on the date stated in the email. If your blog has a bad ad placement as is found to drive a very low CTR, advertisers may withdraw the ad from your blog.
