Nuffnang Featured Blogger for the month of September
Bear Bear the Fearsome Rottie
…or at least that is what most people think of me.
Like Insurance Agents, Rottweilers are probably one of the most misunderstood dog breeds… And to be selected as a featured blog is by far the highlight of my life!
A blog? Wait a minute… Mine’s no BLOG… But a DLOG! That’s right! You had your Geeks, Ah Lians and Metrosexuals. Now, in Nuffnang’s infinite wisdom, the first ever DLOG is being featured!
My dlog is obviously about my friends and me… What I get up to and plenty of pictures which my trigger-happy Pa is happy to post up about. But mainly it is also to allow anyone and everyone to see that it isn’t really about the dog… like in anything else on Earth, everything is really a human’s fault.
Pa’s constantly bringing me out, encouraging people, little kids and whole families to meet with me. I have had some kids totally fearless, running and hugging me suddenly! I’m used to it…and I always let them have their way. Pa however always does his bit by warning the parents that not every of my distant cousins are like me.
At 1 year 3 months old, I’m honestly still a Noob in this whole computer thing and sometimes depends on Pa to turn the machine on… and occasionally fill in for me when I’m kinda busy. I study my eyelids a lot.
Dlogs are getting increasingly popular due to its apolitical nature and generally safe G-rated content. Not only that, but you will be able to share and archive the special times you have with your loved ones. You will be surprised just how many people are touched as well. Pa and me have been approached too many times to count and with most without fear of me.
Here are some tips and advantages on having a Dlog.
1. Get a Dog. In fact, adopt one at your nearest shelter today. Take the plunge. You can do it.
2. Get a good compact Camera. Nothing beats a good clear picture.
3. Read up on Photography. A good Dlog or Blog requires plenty of pictures. PLENTY. Don’t worry about looking Ugly. Its only you that thinks so.
4. Choose a safe topic to write about. Food. Sleep. Sex. Dogs.
5. Be nice and objective. If you have a Dlog, don’t start writing about the Losing Weight and Fitness Plans.
6. Believe and be Educated on what you are writing about. That includes Human-Dog Relationships. Its the content and not the blink-blinks that is important.
7. Licking your genitilia and smelling another’s butt is only considered acceptable behaviour to Dogs.
8. Doggie Porn is G-rated.
9. Keep in mind as you learn about dog-keeping is that opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one.
10. Most importantly, have loads of fun with the short time you have with each other. Training together is FUN FUN FUN!
My Pa’s thinking of printing a T-shirt that says, “Rotties aren’t Dangerous, You are.” Anyone wants one?
Well that’s about it from me, enjoy Nuffnang and do sign up!
