A Walloping Warm Welcome to everyone in Nuffnang Cyberspace!

My name is Allan Wu and I’m pumped to be the Featured Blogger of the Month. Now, I am must confess that I’ve been really slow on the uptake with navigating through cyberspace, but it’s been great to finally get my blog up and running. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support and encouragement of Nuffnang’s fearless leader, Ming Shen.

Over five years ago, Ming already told me about his grand plans to take the world of blogging in Asia Pacific to an entirely new level, and I really didn’t know what he was babbling about. Along the way, he even tried to persuade me to secure the URL for my name and start blogging.

So you’re probably wondering why is my website called wulander.com and not allanwu.com? Well, I did get around to buying the rights to my name for a few years, but I never got “over the hump” to really start blogging so I decided to not renew the URL subscription last year.

Of course, things always seem to work in mysterious ways, and Ming finally convinced me to get into the “blog zone” around the end of August 2009. Unfortunately, the URL to my name already got picked up by someone else trying to cash in on the site with my name so that’s yet another lesson learnt. Ouch. Talk about you snooze you lose!

Well, it all doesn’t matter now because I’m just happy to be able to share some public and personal aspects of my life with all of you. So if you’ve got some time to chill, then cruise on over to my site to see what are the latest projects I am working on including a movie entitled “Love Cuts” with Zoe Tay and Christy Yow and also a new sports reality show on Starhub cable called “Game On.”

Of course, I cannot forget that we’re also revving up for the highly anticipated fourth season of The Amazing Race Asia!

In addition to work, I’d also like to share little precious nuggets of information surrounding health and fitness, where I believe we can always aspire towards a better sense of body, mind, and well-being. On that same note, I’d also like to give a shout out to my wife Li Lin and her revolutionary invention Loopz. This handy little exercise resistance band has allowed me to stay in shape no matter where I am racing around the world so thanks for giving me absolutely no excuse to not look and feel my best anywhere, anytime.

Finally, there’s always the personal family stuff that I would like to share from time to time. There’s nothing I cherish more than the family so I hope you enjoy seeing my children Sage and Jonas popping up on my website to occasionally add some comic relief. In fact, we just returned from a family holiday to Phuket, Thailand, and each trip seems more and more memorable as they mature.
