The Nuffies went to the private dining room to prepare since 3pm and everyone was so excited about the night’s event. 

 The private dining room was awesome – Amazing set up with perfect view!

Guests arrived and registered before heading to our photowall to have fun! Everyone was busy snapping away with the props provided! Funky specs, moustaches, pouty lips, you name it ,we got it!!

The event started with Boss Ming giving an opening speech, thanking everyone for their continuous support. We wouldn’t have gotten so far without all of YOU!! *big hug*

 The night would not have been perfect without the various performances. We would like to thank Jack and Rai for their impressive  live covers and original hit song FALALA! They definitely liven up the atmosphere!

Chua En Lai’s stand-up comedy that cracked up the crowd for a good half an hour! We cant get enough of our favourite character from The Noose, Pornsak Sukhumvit!Not forgetting our spontaneous bloggers, Noel and Qiuting for their sexy poledances!

Ending the night with powerful local songstress, Ling Kai! Everyone was awed by her vocals!! (we are all planning to check her out at her gigs! Who would like to join us? :p) 

What’s a birthday celebration without a cake-cutting ceremony? Nuffnang is finally 5! Hooray to the good times and cheers to this big family! It is super heartwarming to know that Nuffnang has expanded is expanding to different countries across the globe! (Check out the two figurines representing our bosses – Ming & Tim and the nuffies smiling cheek to cheek!

Everyone seemed to be having fun at different tables!!! Luckily we managed to catch a photo of the guests seated at each table!

Dear Nuffnangers,

Time really does fly when you are having fun!

With our busy schedules, Tim and myself, only just realized that Nuffnang was turning 5 this year!

This milestone, I might remind you, comes right after 500 bloggers from all over the region, descended upon KL for the 2^nd Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards. A huge endeavor by both our Nuffies and the community at large.

Whilst I’ve considered that this might prove strenuous  for our passionate Nuffies, I have still asked all 7 countries, where Nuffnang has a presence today, to mark the occasion with something special.

So, today (And for some others, this week), bloggers in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong,  China, and Thailand will all be celebrating with us in one way or the other.

We have truly come a long way, but the work is far from over. Blogging is hard work. Nuffnang’s mission is to make Blogging an even more fulfilling endeavor.

This does not merely mean commercializing the space, but also building communities, and bridging them, helping bloggers get the recognition they deserve not just from their readers, but from the world.

Self-publishers, many of whom have no formal training in writing, journalism or the like, provide an alternative sense and view from the ground up, and have changed the world we live in already.

The question Nuffnang continues to ask ourselves is how can we go further? How can we aid this movement into becoming something more powerful?

It is with great pride that I announce Nuffnang is working on something we think will take us, our community and the blogosphere to the next level. Nuffnang will evolve, as we all must, and hopefully further fulfill the mission we set down 5 years ago.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled on this space, it will take some time, but we believe good things come to those that wait!
